Thailand-Cambodia conflict

Cambodia-THailand Conflict Update

Dec 8, 2025

There have been new developments in the Thailand–Cambodia border conflict. Since the initial clashes in July 2025, both nations had agreed to maintain peace.

However, on December 7, Thailand opened fire into Cambodia along the border, forcing thousands to evacuate their homes. Many families have been displaced overnight, leaving behind their belongings and livelihoods.

Our team is currently on the ground, preparing to help and serve the families affected. We are preparing food for the refugee camps and are committed to being present, praying for and encouraging families during this difficult time.

Please stand with us in prayer for peace, safety, and provision for both Cambodia and Thailand. Your prayers and support make a difference as we seek to bring hope to those affected.

Thank you so much to everyone who has given to the Cambodia war relief fund. So far we have received over $50,000 in donations. This last week we distributed $12,500 worth of food to 500 families and right now  are preparing 1000 more packages to bring to families tomorrow.

As the ceasefire seems to be holding and people are getting ready to go back home we modified our packages from strictly food to include school supplies, stuffies for the kids, household necessities, and a small cash contribution to help them fill up gas for the journey back home.

Any funds left over will go towards rebuilding homes destroyed by the fighting and families who lost loved ones.

If you’d like to continue supporting ⁦GonPreah.org⁩ 100% of your donations will go towards the sponsoring of children and youth education.

We partnered with YWAM Cambodia as all of their staff are crowd funded volunteers which means everything you give goes directly towards impact not office or admin.

Again thank you guys so much for joining with us in this incredible display of God’s love to the Cambodian people. Thank you 🙏

“Responding in Love. Standing for Peace”

We're raising $125,000 to provide emergency relief for 5,000 families displaced by the ongoing conflict.

According to CNN, over 133,000 people have been displaced due to the recent fighting along the Cambodia–Thailand border.

Last week, we distributed $12,500 worth of food packages to 500 families, and this week we’ve prepared 1,000 more packages worth $25,000—bringing the total distributed to $37,500. We still have more than $12,500 remaining and will continue relief efforts as the need continues.

Each package includes:

  • Food staples: rice, sugar, salt, cooking oil, and dried fish

  • Household essentials: shampoo, dish soap, toothpaste, sarong/krama, and plastic laundry bags

  • Children’s items: school supplies, toys, milk, cookies, and water bottles

  • $10 for gas money per family

Our YWAM Cambodia teams are already on the ground preparing food, shelter, and supplies for families fleeing their homes. Just $25 can provide emergency relief for one family.

Join Us:

We’re calling on the global Church and our international friends to stand with us. Your generosity—no matter the amount—will directly support displaced families and show them God’s love in a tangible way.

Please continue to pray for peace, protection, and provision for Cambodia and Thailand during this time
